Sunday, February 18, 2018- Cruise Day 26; At Sea

Sunday, February 18, 2018- Cruise Day 26; At Sea

Our at sea days are developing a routine that keeps us busy.  Breakfast, morning trivia, and this morning, an Effy diamond talk and raffle.  400 new passengers boarded in Buenos Aires, and they are eager to win diamonds, so the raffle was very crowded, and Janet walked away empty handed.  We also walked away empty handed at trivia, although we scored our usual tied for second place.

We hit the fitness center for a while and then lunch and naps, since Ben was fighting off a cold.

We were back at the Effy store at 3:00PM for another spot the fake diamond and raffle.  Janet successfully identified the fake diamond, increasing her odds in the raffle to 1:7, but she wasn’t drawn.  Then we attended the 3:30PM afternoon trivia, but finished well out of the running since someone managed a perfect 20/20, while we scored 16/20.

We had an early dinner but missed the early Acrobat show featuring Donovan and Rebecca, so we watched some TV and got changed out of our formal wear.  The show was an interesting combination of Tenor vocals, interpretive dance and Cirque du Soleil style muscle and balance moves.  They were very talented, but after a while their poses were getting a little repetitive.  It was a good show overall and well worth seeing.

Tomorrow, we arrive at Puerto Madryn in the Patagonian coast of Argentina, and have an excursion to see a huge colony of Magellanic penguins.  We’ll have to be prepared for potentially windy and cold conditions.
